For Better Nutrition

burnt brown balls?

Blimey that's balderdash.

Our kibble is baked just like your breakfast cereal. What matters isn't how it's cooked, it's the ingredients that count.

We make sustainable ingredient choices that deliver clean and complete nutrition for benefits you can see.

Clean High Protein Dog Food, with Zero Junk.

We’ve taken a high-quality, sustainable protein source and combined it with superfoods like chickpeas, sweet potatoes, spinach, and blueberries to create the world’s first high protein plant-based dog food – so it’s every bit as nutritious as meat-based food, with none of the allergy & ethical downsides.

The impact of yeast versus meat in dog food:

These “tiny miracles” are miniature protein factories—they pump out ultra high-quality protein, grow easily at scale, contains all 10 essential amino acids dogs need, and require radically fewer resources to produce. This is increasingly important, as the over-reliance of meat in kibble is responsible for 25-30% of the environmental impact of meat consumption in the United States.

Moreover much of the meat in dog food is low quality or leftover, which can lead to allergies. Our protein is clean and natural and helps your dog thrive. Try it today!

Ingredients with a Purpose
Backed by Science

Our recipe was created by scientists, nutritionists, and vetted by our chief veterinary officer Dr. Ernie Ward and other industry experts. We uphold transparency by using recognizable real ingredients and every single ingredient in our formulation has a purpose.

No fillers. Just real, good food.

Dried Yeast

Yeast is one of our food’s main protein sources, and contains all 10 essential amino acids a healthy dog needs to thrive. It’s also full of healthy dietary fibers called beta-glucans that promote healthy digestion.

Chickpeas

One of nature's true superfoods. They add energy-boosting carbohydrates, essential amino acids, and beneficial nutrients including potassium, magnesium, folate (an important B vitamin) and vitamin A.

Oats

Oats are a rich source of healthy dietary fibers and energy - but not all sources of energy (carbohydrates) are created equal. Oats have a low glycemic index - meaning they curb blood sugar spikes and promote heart health. Lastly, they’re an excellent source of healthy fats, and supply B vitamins, vitamin E, zinc, iron, and selenium.

Peas

Peas are a plant-based source of energy, vitamins, and minerals. They contain iron, zinc, potassium and magnesium.

Pea Protein

Pea protein is highly digestible by dogs and contains many of the amino acids needed for healthy body function. It’s also a great source of iron and lysine, which help support healthy immune system and promote muscle growth.

Potato Protein

Many dog parents confuse potatoes, which are typically considered a source of starch, with potato protein, which is about 72% protein. Potato protein is highly digestible by dogs and provides an excellent source of amino acids. It also helps support strong muscles and promotes a healthy immune system. Potato protein is often found in limited ingredient therapeutic diets for dogs suffering from food allergies.

Canola Oil

Serves dual purposes in our dog food. It has both Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, aiding in skin and coat, joint health and overall energy. Canola oil (with mixed tocopherols) also provides a natural, plant-based preservative for the food. This helps to maintain freshness and preventing oxidation and spoilage.

Sweet Potato

Containing the antioxidant beta-carotene, sweet potatoes offer more to your dog than just long-lasting carbohydrates. Beta-carotene is not only associated with healthy vision, but supports a healthy immune system. Sweet potatoes are highly nutritious, loaded with vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, C, B3, B5, B6, manganese and copper.

Dried Aspergillus Oryzae Fermentation Product

Adding Koji protein to our formula was the catalyst for developing the world's first high-protein plant-based dog food. Koji (Aspergillus oryzae) is a fungal protein similar to yeast. Koji provides a healthy and complete source of protein as well as healthy dietary fibers.

Flaxseed Meal

Flaxseeds are a rich source of healthy dietary fiber and also contain abundant omega-3 (in the form of ALA) which supports skin and coat health.

Sunflower Oil

Sunflower oil is rich in essential omega-6 fatty acids. It aids in maintaining healthy skin and coat, and supports the immune system. Omega-6 fatty acids also help reduce inflammation, and are important for normal blood clotting.

Dicalcium Phosphate

Dicalcium phosphate provides a rich source of calcium and phosphorus, which are essential minerals that support healthy bones and teeth, heart and nervous system, and muscle functions.

Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate is a natural source of calcium, an essential mineral for dogs. Calcium carbonate supports strong bones and teeth, healthy joints, and is needed for proper muscle function. Another interesting fact about calcium carbonate is that it helps our kibble puff up and gives additional texture that dogs love!

Marine Microalgae

A rich source of DHA (a type of omega-3 fatty acid) which benefits healthy brain and nervous system function as well as vision.

Choline Chloride

An essential nutrient for maintaining a healthy nervous system in dogs.

Taurine

While a dog can create its own taurine from other essential amino acids (cysteine and methionine), we've added it because it is a crucial amino acid for overall health. Taurine assists in heart function, eye health and promotes a helathy immune system to fight infection and disease.

Salt

Salt is a source of the essential minerals sodium and chloride. It helps regulate proper blood pH levels, water balance, and is vital in maintaining healthy nerve and kidney functions.

Insulin

Fermentable dietary fiber that serves as a prebiotic and supports healthy digestion. Our inulin is completely natural and extracted from Chicory Root.

Fructooligosaccharide

Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) is a prebiotic plant sugar found in a variety of fruits, vegetables and cereals. FOS improves digestibility and the absorption of dietary calcium, iron and other minerals.

Zinc Proteinate

Zinc proteinate is a natural source of zinc, and the proteinate form is highly bioavaible. Zinc helps support your dog’s healthy immune system and promotes healthy skin and coat. It also aids in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism and is necessary for maintaining cell membrane integrity.

Iron Proteinate

Chelated source of iron. The iron from iron proteinate is highly bioavailable in dogs and helps provide oxygen to the blood and aids in the digestion of fatty acids.

Vitamin E Supplement

Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant and an essential nutrient for dogs. It is a fat soluble vitamin that helps support a healthy immune system, heart function, and promotes healthy skin and shiny coat.

Copper Proteinate

Trace amounts of copper aid in a variety of metabolic systems, including red blood cell production, iron metabolism, and connective tissues. We use the proteinate form of copper because it is highly bioavaible in dogs.

L-Carnitine

L-carnitine (carnitine) is one of Dr. Ward's favorite supplements. It has been proven to help with fat metabolism, promote healthy heart muscle and function, encourage lean muscle mass, and recent scientific studies indicates that it may help reduce weight in overweight dogs.

Blueberries

Rich in fiber and a good source of calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and vitamin K.

Cranberries

Rich in antioxidants and nutrients to maintain a healthy immune system. Good source of vitamin C, potassium, and fiber.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin a well-known to help a dog's digestion. It is a fiber-rich food that also contains important vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins A, E, and C, and potassium and iron.

Spinach

Spinach contains large amounts of vitamins A, B, C, and K. It is also packed with iron, antioxidants, beta-carotene, and dietary fiber, which aid digestion.

Wheat Germ

Wheat germ provides dietary fiber, iron, and potassium. It has also been shown to support healthy skin and coat, and supports the immune system.

Potassium Chloride

Potassium plays many roles in a dog's metabolism and body functions. It assists in the regulation of the acid-base balance and water balance in the blood and the body tissues. It assists in protein synthesis from amino acids and in carbohydrate metabolism for energy.

Vitamin A Supplement

Our vegan vitamin A supplement supports normal vision, promotes a healthy immune system, bone and muscle growth, and maintenance of healthy skin and coat.

Manganese Proteinate

Manganese is involved in over 300 enzymatic systems in your dog's body. Dogs require manganese to produce energy, metabolize proteins and carbohydrates, and to synthesize fatty acids. It also plays a role in the health and maintenance of bone and joint cartilage. We use the proteinate form of manganese because it is highly bioavaible in dogs.

Sodium Selenite

Sodium selenite is a source of selenium, an essential mineral for dogs. Sodium selenite serves to activate antioxidant systems within your dog’s body and combines with vitamin E to maintain healthy cell membranes. It also helps maintain healthy thyroid function in dogs.

Niacin Supplement

Niacin (vitamin B3) helps maintain a dog's healthy metabolism, break down fatty acids, and aids cognitive function and digestion.

d-Calcium Pantothenate

A source of Vitamin B5. It helps a dog to metabolize proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

Riboflavin Supplement

Riboflavin is another essential B vitamin that helps a dog's body create energy from food and serves as an anti-oxidant.

Thiamine Mononitrate

Thiamine mononitrate is a water-soluble B vitamin (thiamine or vitamin B1) that helps your dog metabolize energy, and maintaining a healthy nervous system and heart function. Thiamine mononitrate is another complex-sounding term that AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) requires us to use instead of "thiamine" or "vitamin B1."

Vitamin B12 Supplement

Vitamin B12 supplement is an essential B-complex vitamin required for making the amino acid methionine and the metabolism of fatty acids.

Calcium Iodate

Calcium iodate is a source of iodine, an essential mineral for dogs. Our vegan source of calcium iodate is an essential component of the thyroid, which produces many hormones. A healthy thyroid regulates your dog’s rate of metabolism.

Vitamin D2 Supplement

Plant-based vitamin D2 supplement is required for healthy bone growth and maintenance, which promotes strong teeth, bones, and joints.

Pyridoxine Hydrochloride

Pyridoxine hydrochloride is a source of the essential B-complex vitamin pyridoxine (vitamin B6). We agree that pyridoxine hydrochloride is a big word, but that's how AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) requires us to list the chemical name of all the ingredients in our food. Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) is an important component of enzymes needed for protein metabolism in growing muscles, hair, nails, and growth hormones as well as aiding immune, nervous system, and red blood cell function, fat metabolism, and gene function.

Folic Acid

An essential B vitamin needed to maintain the cells' genetic code and regulate cell division. Folic acid is required for the normal growth and maintenance of all cells.

Rosemary Extract

An anti-oxidant commonly used as a natural pet and human food preservative.
